End of the Line tells the story of a group of underwater cave explorers in North Florida intent on connecting two extensive underwater caves - Chip’s Hole cave (6.499 mi in length) to the Wakulla - Leon Sinks cave system (37.721 mi in length), the longest underwater cave in the United States.
The film portrays the unique relationships and intertwined nature between the underwater cave explorers, the scientific efforts to understand the unique natural resources both above and below ground, and the continued preservation and conservation of the natural springs and wildlife habitat of the area.
The film grounds the audience in the diver’s passion for exploration and discovery which are inherent and universal to all. But there is a larger purpose, that of the preservation and conservation of the area. Get a firsthand look at how the cave explorers helped to educate the public and inform the scientific community of the importance of the area’s natural resources – a quest that continues to this day.
